Do you ever get the chance to do something completely outside of your norm in your career? Being Sarah’s senior photographer was exactly that and I loved every minute of it! Her ballet senior session was so different from any other session I’ve ever done. I’m pretty sure I had to pick my jaw up off the ground quite a few times as I watched and photographed her moving effortlessly in between ballet poses. The grace and poise she possesses was palpable and a joy to witness.
Seeing Sarah fly through the air in the middle of the Oregon District in downtown Dayton was so beautiful & inspiring. Sarah’s kind heart & sweet disposition were even more impressive than her dancing skills. Her approach to life is such a wise view as a young adult.
When I found out that she didn’t start dancing until she was 14, I truly couldn’t believe it. Most girls that she dances with now have been dancing since they were 3 or 4. This shows you how dedicated she is to her craft. Her passion & drive will go far in life, whether that’s in the ballet world or elsewhere.
Stay tuned for the traditional portion of her senior session next week! In the meantime, here are a few of my favorites from her ballet senior session:
