Being able to share my voice is a gift I don't want to ever take for granted. This blog is a window to my heart & my business. You'll be able to enjoy my latest sessions & photography tips. But I'll also be sharing more of my passions like pursuing a simpler lifestyle and personal images from our day to day.
When MacKenzie reached out in August to set up a family session, I knew that this crew would be special. Anytime I feel hesitation or worry from a mom, I completely understand. With twin four year olds, she was just hoping that their session produced a few print worthy images. Their experience in the past hadn’t been stellar with other photographers. So, I made it my mission to go above and beyond what they expected.
I have two that are four and under, so I get it. You hope that they do not pick this evening of all the evenings to have a bad attitude or have a meltdown. Want to know a secret to a better session with your kids? Be more relaxed and your kids will naturally follow suit, especially in a park where they can run and play. Dennis & MacKenzie did just that during our session. They were relaxed & engaging with their children. This in turn allowed the kids to warm up quickly and show me their true personality throughout the evening.
Planning our session at Charleston Falls in Tipp City was the perfect spot for this active family of four. They could run around, explore, play and interact with each other all while feeling like they weren’t going from one stiff pose to the next. We were cracking jokes, giggling and just out for a walk on a beautiful fall evening. This is how I design my sessions to maximize our time and provide my clients with the best possible experience.
