When Angelina first contacted me, she shared how much she wanted to do her maternity session at Young’s Dairy. She had been there on a class trip with her school earlier this fall and saw how beautiful the tree farm and barns would be. I had never photographed a session at Young’s or the Young Christmas Tree Farm before, but I’m so glad she suggested a tree farm maternity session!
Angelina & I clicked over having a house full of girls with little girls on the way. What are the chances that we both have two older girls and are pregnant only 6 weeks apart with another little girl each! It was so easy to relate to Angelina and understand what they wanted out of their maternity & newborn sessions because I’m in the thick of it too.
We met on a chilly Sunday afternoon in early December at the tree farm. It was the perfect location for a vintage, boho maternity session with her family. We collaborated on their outfits and her great taste really shined through in their maternity session. Since we would be using the farm as the backdrop, I kept the props very simple and natural. This ensured that their sweet family bond was highlighted throughout our time together.
AJ & Angelina’s two older daughters, Makaylie & Farrah, were sweethearts during the session. You could get tell that they were really excited to be big sisters soon! I’m so excited for all of them to meet the newest member of the family, Emerald, very soon. I can’t wait to capture her during their lifestyle newborn session after she arrives.
Enjoy some of my favorites from their tree farm maternity session!
