Being able to share my voice is a gift I don't want to ever take for granted. This blog is a window to my heart & my business. You'll be able to enjoy my latest sessions & photography tips. But I'll also be sharing more of my passions like pursuing a simpler lifestyle and personal images from our day to day.
Here I am, shamelessly sharing a Christmas family session in February!
Just a little more than a year ago, Angelina & I were planning their Christmas tree farm maternity session and their lifestyle newborn session. Those were two of my favorite sessions that year. You can imagine how excited I was when Angelina wanted to do a Christmas family session with Emerald’s one year session.
Being the Marriett’s photographer for the past year has been such a joy for me. Not only are they kind, caring and beautiful people, but Angelina dresses them in the BEST outfits. Working with clients to style their families is such a fun part of the prep work. It really makes their sessions stand out.
Repeat clients are something I always look forward to. Getting to document a family as they grow is such a gift for the photographer. I’ve also had families tell me they love having their images edited the same way year after year.
As a mom of three girls, I especially enjoy photographing other all girl families. It’s so endearing to see sisters interacting and being themselves throughout the session. I always want clients to be able to look back on images from their session and smile. Transported back to that stage in each of their children’s lives. Laughing at their quirks, expressions and personality.
This session took place at Something Old Dayton Vintage Rentals. The studio space is a beautiful downtown industrial warehouse. Their Christmas setups are always gorgeous and detailed with lots of variety. I ended up doing all of my Christmas sessions in this studio space this season, instead of being outside. And I’m so glad I did because they turned out amazing!
Later this month, I’ll be sharing Emerald’s one year session so stay tuned for more from the Marriett’s Christmas gift that keeps on giving.
